Ali sat in the shade of the big oak tree. This is where he liked to be when he wanted to clear his mind. Sadia had just called him to tell him that she wanted to end the relationship.
Like a light had gone on in his head, Ali knew what he had to do. He couldn’t let her get away with it. He got up and went inside to prepare for his next move.
Two days later Sadia was found dead in her apartment. She had been electrocuted by a damaged power cord while using her hair dryer. It was declared an accident.

It’s new but I like lol 😀
I especially liked your title.
janet
Thanks for reading!
Oh my God. What a revenge!
What? It was an accident 😉
I’m suddenly glad I don’t have a need to use hair dryers.
Haha, yes I don’t use them much myself 🙂
Dear Zainab,
I can’t remember the last time I used a hairdryer. Somehow I don’t think it was an accident. But I do think you wrote a good story. 😉
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thank you, did you notice I referenced the photo 3 times.
Zainab,
Eep, the way he calmly went about it is pretty creepy. I hope, for the sake of other women, that he doesn’t find another girlfriend.

Shocking story! 😉 Nice use of the picture.
😉 Thank you for stopping by.
so evil. and that is why when i break up with a guy, i make sure that they won’t be able to reach me. lol 🙂 well done.
Next time, check your power cords as well just in case 😉 Just kidding, stay safe.
lol ^^
Noticed you changed your profile pic. Nice!
thank you 🙂
That guy just can’t take a knock-back can he? Very dark but nicely done.
Some guys are like that. Thanks for reading.
Very well done. I’m glad my dating days are long past. Many years ago I had a couple of sad break-ups before I met my husband, but thankfully neither ended that way.
I’m glad they didn’t! Thank you for reading.
Gruesome and evil Ali. that if I can’t have you way of thinking. Well written.
Thank you for reading.
Revenge stories are the best!
Glad you liked it. 🙂
You do have a way with killing and revenge… remind me to never get on your bad side, Zainab!
Haha, don’t worry I don’t bite!
Thanks for stopping by.
I did not see that coming, even with the title it was still shocking.
That’s shocking! 😉
Thanks for your comment.
Whenever I read about such real life stories, I always wonder “Why couldn’t he just divorce her and move on?” Of course, that would be too easy. And as we know, humans are more complicated than that. Good one. Sad, but good.
Thank you. Yes human beings are complex and cruel. At the same time they can be simple and humane. That’s what makes them so very interesting.
Ouch! Check your cords after breakups ladies!
😉 Thanks for stopping by!
Well using the photo I’d say practice made perfect. How many lamps did he have to test run before getting it just right for revenge. Ali is very clever and creepy.
Doing test runs on lamps, that’s clever!
Thanks for stopping by.
And he got away with it.
Yes he did.
Thanks for reading.
I don’t know, he could be a stalker or she could be cruel. Creepy story but really good! Thanks, Nan
Yes she probably wasn’t a great person either but that’s no excuse right?
Thanks for stopping by.
By the way, your son is adorable!
Thank you 🙂
Ooh, that’s a dark tale well told.
Thank you for reading!
Never date someone who is versed in current affairs. Deliciously wicked tale Zainab.
Eek! What an evil, jealous creep. Interesting take on the prompt this week, Zainab.
All my best,
Marie Gail
Thank you so much Marie.
Hi Zain,
Great tale of psycho vengeance, and the way you tied it to the photo was ingenious. Ron
Thank you Ron!
Oh a nice tidy little murder story that starts out so serenely under the oak tree! who would have thought it would take a turn for the worse. Good story!
🙂 Thank you for stopping by.
what a horrible way to handle rejection!…but very well written story!
Thanks for reading!
A fantastic who dunit Zainab-enjoyed it totally-a crisp write too:-)Loved the line,”Like a light had gone on in his head, “Well done!
Thank you so much! 🙂
🙂
Ali, the dirty rotten rat. Hope he gets caught.
Somehow I doubt it. Thanks for stopping by.
Woah, deep…shocking kill literally. Good job.
Thanks.
A cold killer… Never let her free… I guess Ali could play a mounting widower afterward.
The kind of mentality that if she couldn’t be his, she shouldn’t be anyone’s.
Thanks for dropping by.
Shocking literally!
Its amazing how ‘shocked’ can be used in every sense here 😀
Loved it!
Thank you so much. I’m all aglow!
That bum!
What? It was an accident.
What I can’t figure for these “nuts” (there are more polished terms) is how they realize that they might get them back, but not if they are dead!
If only they could be reasonable!
