Rocket to space

For a moment today, time stands still — but you can tweak one thing while it’s stopped. What do you do?

Yesterday my son ate a plateful of fish and had a terrible allergic reaction to it. He was vomiting all afternoon. I had to give him a Motilium suppository to stop him from vomiting. My husband was not at home and I was panicking because I’ve never seen him so sick. His doctor doesn’t take calls and only responds to messages and I needed an immediate answer. So I took him to the emergency of another clinic where the doctor told me to give him another suppository after 6 hours and if he kept on vomiting till the next day I should take him to the hospital for an IV.

Thankfully he didn’t vomit again and I didn’t even have to repeat the suppository. At dinner time he managed to retain a bread roll and some juice. He slept through the night and today he is his normal chatty self.

If time had stood still yesterday I would have removed the plate of fish and replaced it with chicken.

On a lighter note when I tried to give him the suppository he was comparing himself to the big bad wolf. The three little pigs put a rocket on his tail and sent him to outer space.

“I don’t want to go to another planet”, said my nearly 4 yr old as he tearfully refused the medicine.
