Blog of the Year 2013 Award

A big thank you to my friend Olga at Life is great for nominating me for my first Blog of the Year 2013 award. Do check out her wonderful blog with exciting posts from her life as a journalist.

2. Rochelle Wisoff-Fields

3. JED’s Playhouse

4. This, that and the other thing

5. vic briggs

Congratulations and thank you for your inspirational writing!

The instructions for this award are simple:

1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2013’ Award

2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there are no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ the blog(s) with their award.

3 Let the blog(s) that you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the instructions with them – (please don’t alter the instructions or the badges!)

4 Come over and say hello to the originator of the ‘Blog of the Year 2013’ Award via this link – http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/blog-awards-2/blog-of-the-year-2013-award/

5 You can now also join the ‘Blog of the Year’ Award Facebook page – click the link here https://www.facebook.com/groups/BlogoftheYear/ and share your blog posts with an even wider audience.

6 And as a winner of the award – please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award – and then proudly display the award on your blog … and start collecting stars…

Blog of The Year 2013 Award

Yes – that’s right – there are stars to collect!

Unlike other awards which you can only add to your blog once – this award is different!

When you begin you will receive the ‘1 star’ award – and every time you are given the award by another blog – you can add another star!

There are a total of 6 stars to collect.

Which means that you can check out your favourite blogs – and even if they have already been given the award by someone else – you can still bestow it on them again and help them to reach the maximum 6 stars!

Blog of The Year 2013 Award

‘Blog of the Year 2013’ Award Badges

Here are the six badges for you to collect – you can either ‘swop’ your badge for the next one each time you are given the award – or even proudly display all six badges if you are lucky enough to be presented with the award six times!

My First Award

liebster

A few days ago I was nominated for my first award, the Liebster Award by Ruminations from an Introvert. Thank you so much and do check out her wonderful blog!

Basically, the Liebster Award is a “favorite blog award”, as Liebster is the German word for favorite, beloved, or dearest. It is meant for smaller blogs with less than two hundred followers to help expose them to the world and help them discover other new and upcoming bloggers.

In order to formally accept this award, the nominee must do several things

  1. Link back and recognize the blogger who nominated me.
  2. Answer ten questions given to me by the blogger who nominated me.
  3. Nominate ten other bloggers for the award.
  4. Create ten questions for my nominees to answer.
  5. Notify my nominees.

Here are my ten questions to answer:

1. What made you decide to start a blog?

My publisher suggested I start a blog to promote the children’s books I have written. That’s how it started. But through it I have discovered a love for writing and am really enjoying the experience.

2. What is your guilty pleasure?

3. If you were an ice cream flavor which would you be?

Vanilla. Goes well with all flavors.

5. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I loved math and wanted to do a PhD in Math!

6. You’re stuck on a deserted island with one other person. Who is it?

I don’t care who as long as he/she can figure out how to get off that island.

7. What one thing do you wish you did more or had more time to do?

Spend some time with sick children in hospitals reading to them.

8. What is your favorite memory?
