A misty morning adds to the mystery of Mont St Michel.
This island in Normandy, France, which has an 8th century monastery on top and housing below is part of the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites and more than 3 million people visit it each year.

wow that a castle? :O
There is a castle like ambience as you climb from the village up to the monastery. The monastery itself is fairly simple.
I imagine it’s quite the experience 🙂
Ah … such a lovely place, I’ve always wanted to visit it! 🙂
It has a magical atmosphere. Been there twice.
It’s so mysterious … lucky you! 🙂
🙂 I was working in the Brittany area for a few months and we used to have a car on the weekends. It was fun exploring.
I can imagine. I’ve never been to France but it sounds like an interesting place to explore 🙂 For the moent though, I’ll start with photos.
Beautiful! 🙂
It’s a lovely place.

Ah I always thought it was Brittany, but you’re right it’s Normandy. Lovely place nonetheless.
