Friday Fictioneers: A Bird in Hand

janet-webbs-sangriaMrs. Jones had everything life had to offer, a luxurious big house, a full time live-in maid, a shiny sports car, a doting husband and an hourglass figure. But she still wanted more.

She was so used to getting what she wanted that she took her husband for granted. One day she decided she wanted someone younger and more exciting, someone like Mr. Williams next door.

When her husband found out about the affair, he promptly divorced her, sold the house and moved to another area leaving her with nothing. Except her hourglass figure.

This story has been written for the Friday Fictioneers. For details see the link below:

    • Dear Rochelle,
Thank you for the inspiration yet again. I suspect that Mrs Jones had a personality flaw more than just making a mistake. She will probably do it again if she gets the chance.
      Thanks for stopping by.
      Best wishes,
      Zainab

  1. Zainab,
what a great story, and I like the title too. Hopefully she learned a lesson from all that, although her figure may get her out of this scrape too, if she can attract another rich husband.

  2. No wonder Mr,.Jones had accumulated such wealth-he definitely is a wise man and as for Mrs.Jones,I have a sneaky feeling that she may use her assets to snare another MR.Jones or Smith ;-)Loved this Zainab:-)
