Friday Fictioneers: The Alley

alleyThe little boy was captivated by the alley. He slid his red car down the steps and just kept going. His mother was busy shopping and didn’t notice her son had gone so far away.

The alley was empty except for a man who stood at the bottom in the shadows. He waited till the boy came near him, then took out the soaked handkerchief from his pocket. Nobody saw him drug the boy and put him in a van nearby.

When the boy’s mother noticed his absence, her panicked screams echoed in the alley. But there was nobody there left to answer.

  1. Terrifying but true many a times cos negligent parents do not keep one eye or one ear on their little ones while they are out-it makes me very mad to see such parents!
