Just one month gone and I’ve already exhausted all the options I had come up with to entertain Nadir in the summer holidays. We’ve been to Dino world where he loved the “huge BIG dinosaurs”, the aquarium which he rode to sitting in grandma’s wheelchair (another story!), to a play where he had lots of laughs and lots more popcorn, to Kidzania, an entertainment and educational zone for kids where he got to be a firefighter and rode a fire engine and a builder and “built” a brick wall, for indoor mini golf and to countless soft play areas. The fact is that we’ve been busy, but there is still more than a month left and it’s just too hot to do anything outside. I had to cross off the water ferry ride and the visit to the animal shelter. With 40+ temperatures I have to come up with indoor activities only. I’m glad his best friend lives just a house away and he can go and play with him in the mornings. But that’s just for now since he will be going on vacations next month. Meanwhile his cousins have returned from a lovely vacation so some time can be spent with them now. There’s also the new Disney movie “Planes” I’m hoping will be released next month which we can go and see. Also planning to go somewhere close by (but which will involve an airplane ride) for a few days. Let’s see, will keep you posted…

    • Good idea! An indoor swimming pool would be great so the moms (who don’t swim) don’t have to hang around in the heat. I took Nadir to the swimming pool nearby but it was too hot for me 😦
